Dancing with Momspirations is an inspiring children's picture book based on true snapshots from my life of teaching my children the power of positive language and how it affects the way we think and behave. This book is recommended for parents, guardians, and pre-kindergarten to third-grade children. It's an ideal book for parents who want to develop their own affirmations for children. Dancing with Momspirations can be read aloud to children to increase vocabulary, identify primary colors and numbers, and build auditory skills and memorization as children learn to repeat their favorite Momspirations.

     I was inspired to write this book because I wanted to affirm my children of their worthiness and value. Early in life, children want to know their worth in the world. "Do you love me? Are you proud of me?” "Am I good enough?” Our response to these questions influences a child's belief. I wanted to shape my children's minds for success and prosperity. Give them a solid foundation for living a full life where they are flowing in their gifts and living a meaningful life of balance, harmony, health, courage, contentment, and joy. That's my desire for my girls.

     To me, a solid foundation starts with paying attention to our words. Words that take up the space in our heads and vibrate off our lips. Words are energy. Words empower or limit us. So many children (and adults ...little people in larger bodies) walk around with limiting ways of thinking about themselves that later become reality. Our words and language are distinct markers. We truly are what we think and say about ourselves.

     Momspirations are practical, empowering phrases. Since my children were babies, I fed them inspirational words and phrases - which I later came to call Momspirations -- to help shape their hearts and minds for positive thinking, speaking, and living. And since what we focus on expands, I'd repeat the phrases in our everyday interactions. Over time, my children began to speak, read, and write the Momspirations, strengthening their basic language skills while reinforcing a new way of being in their soul.

     Momspirations are designed to help create a sense of self-worth, empowerment, and help children understand that they have a choice about how they think and behave. There's nothing mysterious about these phrases. You've probably spoken them to your children countless times. They are simple yet potent in the ears and hearts of a child. For instance, tell a child that she's beautiful, amazing, a winner, and she will live that. Tell her the reverse and she'll live that too! With Momspirations, you're planting wonderful seeds inside your child for a harvest of wholesome, happy living.
